I don't get it because, for me, coworking means physically sharing a space with people in order to get out of the social isolation that happens when I work at home alone. But then, I don't use SL, so for all I know, SL might do the same for you. I hope you weren't offended or anything. It's definitely more embodied than twitter which does nothing for me. There are a bunch of us scattered around North America who may or may not have a physical place to co-work, so, we're going to try a virtual one. It may ultimately be us watching out avatars fall asleep while we answer email ... but it's a little more embodied than chat and Twitter - so we'll see how it goes.
